Laura Garfine, FNP-C is a board-certified family nurse practitioner accredited by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Simmons University in Boston and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from San Diego State University. With over 20 years of healthcare experience, Laura has developed a strong passion for preventive medicine and women's health. Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, she worked alongside the physicians at IGO as a registered nurse on labor and delivery/maternal child health at Scripps Memorial Hospital in La Jolla. We are delighted to have Laura continue as a valued member of the IGO team.
A resident of San Diego for the past 25 years, Laura has built a meaningful connection with the local community. Outside of work, she loves spending time outdoors, reading, and being with her husband, three children, and their labradoodle. Her warm and approachable personality shines through, making her a trusted and relatable healthcare provider.
